DRY SKIN CARE ROUTINE/HOW TO CARE DRY SKIN ROUTINE
Everyone wants clean and radiant skin and
it is possible. We should know how to manage the skin because there are three types of
skins. 1. Is very oily skin
2. One is very skin 3. Normal skin
Now when you are in very cold climate skin becomes dry and in hot climate you will find
skin looking very oily, you are sweating and more oil on your skin, all that is a natural
phenomeon, but we should know how to handle these things because skin definitely gets
affected with weather, climate but once we attend to it, it would be very perfect, it
will look beautiful always in all the weather. Let’s understand the causes of dry skin
First -poor Nutrition, if nutrition is not correct, if your body does not have natural
oil then skin is also will become dry. Second- Genetics,hereditary you are born with
that skin but it can be handled Third- Extreme Temperature absolute heat outside,
absolute cold outside, extreme temperature creates problem
Fourth- The pores of our skin when these pores because skin has lots of pores through which
secretion takes place, where even deadbodies thrown out, when these pores get clogged,
because dead cells remain on the pore and don’t come out as we are not taking bath
properly and that also creates dry skin. According to Ayurveda they say when VAAT becomes
too much then skin gets dry the causes for oily skin that excess opening pores where
sebum is secreted, sebum is natural oil which is secreted from our skin, so oiliness and
stickness is felt .and then because of that even acne are there and all causes oily skin.
Well now what are we suppose to do –PRACTICE yoga by following yoga path. What happens
all our tridoshas VAAT PITT and KAPHF, they all come into balance and so naturally the
excess Vaat because of which the problem is there is taken care off. With yoga toxics
are released very easily managed very easily,,circulation is very perfect, so when all thi happens our
skin which is sometimes oily and sometimes dry alo neutralizes and becomes healthy. Well
I WOULD RECOMMEND ATLEAST TWO ASAAN , one is Sarvaang asaan ,head low pose, and this
Sarvaang asaan really helps releasing tension from all the facial muscles,it helps in good
circulation and helps the skin of your face in any case. Second posture is Haal asaan
and that is again a very circulation on face region, that whole angle really helps in keeping
your body spine totally flexible as well as the circulation on face and the entire abdominal
compression so the digestion is also fine absorption assimilation is also fine. So these
two postures should be done regularly. This technique call Jalneti really helps person
cleansing from inside also improves the circulation on face region. Jalneti should be practiced
regularly as it is a fantastic technique to cope with external stress and tension, external
infection and pollution. Second thing what we should do as pranayama is Sheetali and
Sitkari , both these pranayams bring little coolness into our system, the word itself
is Sheetali ,Sitkari cooling into our system and when our system gets cooled the vaat Dosha
in our body is handled very well. In Ayurveda they mention that what we should do is called
as ABHYANGISTAN. If you remember for a baby we give a massage
of oil, then baby is kept in sun for sometime and the baby is given bath and children also
pick up health. So in ABHYANG is nothing else, but using cocnut oil, almond oil, sesame seed
oil, could be even castor oil, these are all heathy oils , we should use any these oils.
Just see that you warm these oil and put on your body. Massage your body with your ownself
your hands, your face your neck, back front everywhere you massage this oil and let it
stay for sometime say half an hour one hour then take your bath
So this is the best way to handle dry skin, if you find that you skin is still dry and
flaky then after the Abhyang Bath again before wiping your body take little oil and rub on
your hands and legs that will help to overcome dryness. This is much better than any bodylotions
as this natural oil. I would recommend very good pack and that is made of aloevera, sandalwood
and honey. These 3 things, mix these 3 things, remove fresh aloevera gel and put little honey
in that, and mix little sandalwood powder, make a paste, apply that on face and neck,
keep it for 15 to 20 mins and wash it out with warm water, now such pack you may apply
on your skin massage it for sometime, keep it for sometime. once or twice in a week.
I would recommend another pack that is a combination of almond, oat, honey and yogurt.these 4 things.
So soak 5 to 6 almonds overnight, remove the skin, put it mixture, make a paste and apply
it on your face massage it and keep it for 15 20 mins massage it and wash it out. Now
this could be done every 4 to 5 days and is a very good pack. Almond has the good property
to see that it tightens your skin, yogurt also tightens your skin, and helps in making
your skin more radiant. Whitening quality also it has. Well, for oily skin, this oily
skin to handle is a little tough thing, because somehow the moment you sweat and where you
live, accordingly the oil is also secreted in our body. And so to take care we have to
be little bit extra caring. So try and see if you keep tea tree oil in the house. Tree
tea oil is available that you keep in house, this tea tree oil is anti microbial and anti
inflammatory, so it helps to reduce the acne, this oil mix it with clay, that is multani
matti, and this mixture even when you mix it with even rose water, so make this nice
paste, multani matti, rose water and few drops of tea tree oil this becomes a good paste
apply it over your face and neck and just see you keep it for some time,use this every
third day on your face, this well ypu manage your oily skin as this multani mitti helps
in drying skin and removing and reducing acne also. So try and have this pack and it is
very simple and you will be able to help yourself. w\Well a very very common household treatment
is channe ka atta Besan and Dahi-yogurt, these things are just available in our kitchen,
and just see whenever you are feeling too oily around put little besan and dahi maker
a paste apply it on your face, keep it for 10 mins and wash it out. Now this really helps
in that excessive secretion of sebum, that oil of our body and yogurt is good moisturizer,
good tightener and this combination will really help to maintain your skin oil, this whole
combination even brighten your skin tone. Well there is one more very good face treatment.
That is neem and turmeric. This both, combination of all these both things are anti bacterial,
anti fungal, it would remove the infection from your skin so naturally acne are also
taken care off. It would really give a healthy flowing skin. This paste is made –take few
leaves of neem make a paste out of it, put little turmeric over there, and make a paste
nicely, if it is too thick add water and make the paste, then apply that on your face and
keep it for 15,20 mins . This itself is very good, sometimes on your skin also you feel,
your whole body needs little anti fungal treatment then you should try and boil neem leaves in
water and use that water for a bath that itself will also help you. When prickly heats come
then you really need this neem and take care of your skin. We all need our skin which is
acne free and blemish free and that why this smooth skin can come with the help of neem
and haldi , so try and use it and you will be benefitted. For a healthy skin we should
keep ourself well hydrated, so internally also we should have good hydration, so see
that you have better water ,eat food that is watery and so comes the place of fruits
and vegetables like cucumber and such things. Try and see you apply water on your body and
leave it as it is to dry or just pat it but don’t rub your skin because that irritates
your skin, so very often you could splash water over your face and just dab it, don’t
wipe it strongly so itself will keep your skin very healthy. Food like cucumber, watermelon,
different salads, raddish, all these things are required. So salads fruits and vegetables
this is the main food we should have, this is the sattivic food that will help to keep
your skin healthy. Always avoid all these packeted food,fried food that would definitely
not good, well all of you should know where there is problem solution is there itself.
So when such small small problems comes you should know how to manage it, and it will
disappear, its a temporary management , temporary phenomenon, so try and see that have you a
healthy routine , healthy food habits and the problem will be taken care off. Dont let
the problem go to your heart or head, just enjoy life and keep a smile, and that is most
beautiful thing than anything else. Well you will be surprised to see that key to so many
